Blueberry and banana icecream (or smoothie bowl)

Mr 6 wanted a smoothie for breakfast and it turned out rather like softserve so I gave it to him in a soup mug with a spoon. It was so delicious (the bit I tasted from the jug) I actually made myself a variation of it for dessert just now.

SMOOTHIE BOWL – serves 1-2

1 frozen banana (chopped)

3/4 cup (approximately) frozen blueberries

1 teaspoon LSA (optional)

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon maca powder (optional)

3/4 cup (approximately) soy milk

Place all ingredients in blender or stick mix jar and blend until thick and smooth. Serve in a bowl or glass with a spoon.

ICECREAM – serves 2

2 frozen bananas (chopped)

1 cup (approximately) frozen blue berries

1 heaped tablespoon hulled tahini (optional but nice)

1 teaspoon LSA (optional)

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon maca powder (optional)

1/2 cup (or less) almond milk (just enough to get it to a very thick consistency – can leave it out if doing in a food processor)

Place all ingredients in chopper attachment for stick mix or in food processor and blend until very thick and creamy. Leftovers can be stored in freezer.
